| All my life
I have been making music. It continues to be the greatest
source of daily joy for me. One melody at a time. One song
at a time. listening = writing = listening. It Ěs a
never ending process both pushing the other to its next level.
Melodies follow me everywhere. I record what I can but much
flies through my head like a musical breeze gone as easily
as it came. Finally, I decided to make a record of my own
material.
I love albums. I never got rid of mine.
I am of a generation who has experienced the joys of vinyl
but to most, it is a memory that has disappeared in a flash
of shiny metallic 5 inch discs and downloaded MP3s. But I
love listening to albums over and over again. These have been
my greatest teachers (in fact, my only teachers as I could
count on fingers the number of formal music lessons I have
taken in my life) and as I look back, this education has been
the source material that I have become.
And what can I bring to it? All I can do
is share with you some of these lessons and hope that you
feel how they have affected me and the places they have taken
me. Paths have revealed themselves as I explore each piece
with a certain knowingness yet open to what may transpire
in the course of the journey because THAT is where the interest
lies.
Please enjoy (and feel free to DOWNLOAD)
some samples of my work.
And more about me? Here I am. Among you.
Among you artists, businessmen, students and dreamers. I am another farmer tilling
with dreams of summer harvest and winter warmth; in the endless mountains, further
than the eye can see, covered in a thick coat of green. As
each grain of sand is unlike the other. As each snowflake
unique. Here I am.
And as you walk among the countless trees
bending and swaying in the forest, there I am. Among them.
I am a tree in the forest. Can you see me? Can you hear me?
